歷史 History of Malaysia
The earliest history of Malaysia can be traced back to ancient Johor and other ancient countries in the early AD. Malaysia belonged to Srivijaya from the 7th to the 14th century. Starting from the 15th century, it became a colony of Portugal, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. During World War II, Malaysia was occupied by Japan. It officially became an independent country on August 31, 1957 and achieved autonomy.

The manufacturing industry is the main economic lifeline of Malaysia. Additionally, tourism and natural resources such as oil, palm oil, rubber and timber are also important economic sources.
Malaysia’s national language is Bahasa Malaysia, but English is widely used. Different ethnic groups also use various languages and dialects, including Cantonese, Hokkien, Mandarin, Tamil and Hindu.
The official religion of Malaysia is Islam. However, Malaysians are free to worship any religion.
Malaysia practices Parliamentary Democracy with Constitutional Monarchy with His Majesty The King acting as the Paramount Ruler and the Prime Minister as the head of government.
It has a tropical climate of summer even in spring with its temperature between 21℃ and 32℃ and an average rainfall of 2000 to 2500mm annually.
